The bible gives us this picture of the resurrection:
Mary Magdalene was walking down the path to the tomb where the body of Jesus had been put to rest three days before. A large stone had been rolled across the entrance, sealed and guards placed so none of the disciples could steal the body. As she and her friends Joanna and Mary (James’ mother) came into view of the tomb, they saw the stone had been rolled away. Worried, they ran into the tomb and were confronted by two men, garments shining as the sun. The women were confused and afraid. They bowed down in awe and fear, not knowing they were about to hear the most profound; prophesy fulfilling statement since God spoke the first of creation into existence.
For the men asked, “Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen..”
