I have titled this month’s column as I have because I see a spiritual hunger for the straight truth of God’s word. There are more young people today that are turning pro-life because they suddenly realize they could have been aborted since it is now so easy. They have given themselves a generational name. They call themselves “Survivors”. They believe the Baby Boomers and Generation X let many of them down by aborting so many of them. And they are right!
Old fashioned preaching would have thumped the alter against it; old fashioned bible preaching would have called it the sin of murder that it is. But many were silent, more afraid of their tax exempt status being taken away than the unborn children crying out from the womb.
We, as a selfish generation, owe so many an apology, as Christians, many of us need to get on our face before God and repent and ask for forgiveness, for many Christians compromised their message by remaining silent.
This is the month we celebrate “LOVE”. Maybe we should show true Christ like love by standing up for the one we love, Jesus Christ, and pray for the protection of the innocents. What better Valentine gift could you give than to be someone who is a prayer warrior for the children?
